Today we say, â€œEnough.â€ The massacre of 57 people in Ampatuan town, Maguindanao goes beyond a rido or clan war. The sheer scope of barbarity, the brazenness of the murders betrays the perpetratorsâ€™ belief in being beyond the reach of the law.
The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) calls on all its members and fellow journalists to join the â€œNational Day of Indignationâ€ on Wednesday, November 25, in honor of the slain journalists in the Maguindanao massacre.
