Quezon City, 22 April 2007
Some 40 family members of slain journalists gathered together this weekend
for a three-day summer workshop of sharing, healing, and learning.
The Saranggola Summer workshop was organized by the National Union of
Journalists of the Philippines, the Bevil Mabey Study Foundation and the
Kasangga sa Kaunlaran Inc.
The Saranggola Summer workshop, held from April 20-21, 2007, at the Subic
Bay Freeport, consisted of field trips and psychosocial sessions facilitated
by the Children’s Rehabilitation Center. The workshop, the second
since 2006, ended on Sunday with lunch with benefactors and photo opportunities
for media.
The family members are beneficiaries of the Bevil Mabey Study Foundation-Kasangga
